Alumni Profile -- Jesse Frozene

Jesse Frozene, originally from Westfield Wisconsin, graduated from UWSP in the spring of 2019 with a BM in Instrumental Music Education and General Music Education. While attending UWSP he was delighted to be able to perform with local ensembles such as The Swing Doctors, River Cities Jazz Band, and the Wisconsin Rapids City Band.
Mr. Frozene now teaches High School Band, 5th Grade Beginning Band, and 6th Grade Band in Grantsburg Wisconsin, about 40 miles east of Spooner, and is currently a member of the St. Croix Valley Orchestra, under the direction of Adam Bever.
“The UWSP Music Department is great place, It’s a culture all its own that will pull you in, if you let it, before the end of your first semester. The faculty of this program will prepare you for a career in music with an array of teaching experiences and networking opportunities within and outside of the university. I would not be the music educator I am today, or even a music educator at all, without the outstanding support and guidance of these next level musical professionals, especially that of Dr. Lawrence and Dr. Butler. I couldn’t have asked for a more fulfilling undergraduate experience than what I received at UWSP.”
