“There is no other university I would have chosen to study music education and performance than UWSP. The world-class professors at UWSP are not only outstanding musicians themselves, but outstanding educators as well. The music faculty truly cares about each and every student. There are no teaching assistants or graduate assistants so every professor will know you by your name and will be there to help you succeed and grow. A plethora of performance opportunities, teaching experiences, and music groups and organizations are also present for your musical and professional growth. Dr. Lawrence prepared me well for a lifelong career in music, and I am honored to call him my mentor, colleague, and friend. I owe a lot of my successes and accomplishments to the education and experiences I received during my five years with Dr. Lawrence and the magnificent music department and faculty at UWSP. You too will receive only the best experience possible when you choose to pursue your music career at UWSP.”
